I got to see mountain goats!
Yesterday, I unlocked a life goal: We saw mountain goats in the wild. What’s more impressive is that we planned this trip the night before: “Hey, I’m going to skip riding; let’s try to see some goats.” An hour’s drive and two hours of hiking later, we’re sitting watching this herd graze.
Observing the herd’s behavior as they slowly moved along the hillside was interesting. The alpha male would occasionally push a younger male off of a rock, and they’d settle down for a few minutes before returning to “king of the hill” shenanigans.
